Net2Phone Expands Management Team
NEWARK, NJ - January 18, 2001 --- Net2Phone Inc. (NASDAQ: NTOP),
a leading provider of voice and enhanced services over IP networks,
today appointed four new senior executives. Scott Andersen joins
the company as Executive Vice President of Sales, Glenn Williams
was promoted to Executive Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs,
Bruce Shoulson joins the company as General Counsel, and Brian Haimm
was promoted to Executive Vice President of Strategic Alliances.
Scott Andersen brings 20 years of experience in general management,
sales, and marketing leadership in the technology industry. He will
be responsible for all aspects of the company's worldwide sales
strategy.
Andersen has extensive experience in building and directing profitable
organizations. Before joining Net2Phone, Andersen was CEO and Co-Chairman
of Exist Corporation, an eMarket solution provider and ASP, enabling
clients to conduct e-commerce and collaboration online. While at
Exist, he created its go-to-market strategy, re-engineered operations,
and implemented new sales channels. Prior to that, Andersen was
Senior Operating Executive at MCI Systemhouse, Inc. where he directly
managed 350 employees and increased revenues from $10 million to
$100 million in one year while improving operating earnings by 400%.
Andersen also brings over 13 years of experience from Andersen Consulting
in selling and implementing enterprise-wide solutions for Global
500 clients.
Glenn Williams, who has been the General Counsel and Secretary
for Net2Phone since October 1999, played a key role in some of the
Company's major success stories of the past year, including AT&T,
AOL, Yahoo and Microsoft. In his new role as Executive Vice President
of Business and Legal Affairs, the Company will leverage Williams'
15 plus years of legal and business experience to further advance
the profitable growth of the Company. He will focus on major business
transactions, domestic and international corporate planning, and
will be the key liaison between the legal department and the Company's
business units and subsidiaries worldwide. Williams will also continue
to serve as corporate Secretary.
Bruce Shoulson has spent the past 35 years at Lowenstein Sandler
PC, a New Jersey-based law firm, and has been a partner/director
since 1970. Shoulson's expertise lies in Mergers and Acquisitions
and General Corporate Law. In his role at Net2Phone, Shoulson will
lead and manage the Net2Phone legal department and will provide
guidance to management. Brian Haimm joined Net2Phone in February
2000, and was instrumental in the formal creation of ADIR Technologies
and Cisco's investment in this Net2Phone subsidiary. Prior to that,
Haimm was a vice president in Sakura Bank's Mergers and Acquisitions
group. Before Sakura, Haimm was a Senior Financial Analyst at SOFTBANK/Ziff-Davis.
In his new position, Haimm is responsible for managing and optimizing
the financial and strategic return on the company's investments
and other business relationships. Haimm will also explore and evaluate
strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, investments and
other strategic alliances to expand Net2Phone's capabilities in
next generation communications over IP networks.
