WorldPages & Net2Phone Sign Agreement to Bring Internet Phone
Services Worldwide
New Service Saves WorldPages Users Time and Money on National
And International Calls
San Francisco, March 9 -- WorldPages/WebYP, Inc. announced today
that its premier yellow and white pages directory service ( http://www.worldpages.com
) will provide users with the ability to call any phone number around
the world from their multimedia computers through IDT's Net2Phone
service. Now, users looking up business or personal phone numbers
in WorldPages can conveniently phone those businesses (and individuals)
through the Internet with just the click of a mouse, and save up
to 95% on long-distance phone calls. Recipients of the call need
not be online as calls are routed from the Internet directly to
traditional telephones.
"WorldPages is continuing its commitment to add first class communications
tools for our users," said Jack Tracht, Sr. VP Marketing of WorldPages.
"Combining our search functionality with Net2Phone's 'Click2Talk'
helps us bring together more people and businesses. Now anyone in
the world with a multimedia personal computer (PC) can receive one-on-one
interaction with a representative of the company they seek."
"We are excited to be supplying creative Internet telephony solutions
to WorldPages, whose web site is one of the ten most popular directories
on the Internet according to Media Metrix," said, David Greenblatt,

to bring truly value-added and differentiated services to consumers
and businesses worldwide. Now many more people can take advantage
of the power of the Internet to find businesses and people, connect
with them and save money on long distance phone calls in the process."
To make phone calls using the new service, users need simply to
download and install the free Net2Phone software, and have a microphone
and speakers for their computer. The software will be available
to users when searching in WorldPages white and yellow pages, and
then clicking on the phone number link.
The Click2Talk service is seamlessly integrated into the yellow
pages by allowing individuals to find a phone number in the yellow
pages directory, and then automatically call that business by clicking
on the phone number. recipients can answer their telephone just
like they would a regular phone call. This enables all businesses
in the WorldPages database to serve customers without being online,
and those with enhanced listings and web sites can promote their
wares online, while simultaneously completing a sale by telephone.
