Net2Phone CommCenter® provides many ways for
the user to customize their PC calling experience. This section
covers some of the preference and privacy settings open for
the user to adjust right from the software.
Here are some quick pointers to get you started. Please follow
through the topics and FAQ's (frequently asked questions)
and enjoy using your Net2Phone CommCenter!

| How Do I Set My Software To
Run/Not Run When I Start My PC? | |

By default, your Net2Phone CommCenter software is
set to launch automatically when you start your computer.
- From the main window, select the Options menu
- Then select Preferences
, the preferences window will launch on your screen
- Select the General Tab
- On the top panel you will notice the "Run at startup" option
- Leave it checked - your software will launch when you
start your PC (at startup)
- Leave it unchecked - your software will not launch "at
startup"

| How Do I Set My Software To
Automatically Log Me In? | |

You can set your software to automatically log you into
the network without having to enter your username or password
each time you launch the software.
- Launch the Net2Phone CommCenter software, the login window will appear on your
screen
- Directly below where you are asked to enter your
username and password you will notice the "Save my login & password"
option
- Leave it checked - You will automatically be logged-in
as the right user
- Leave it unchecked - You will need to enter your
username and password each time you launch the software
This option is checked by default the
first time you login. To see the login window, follow the
instructions for logging in as a different user described
below. |

| How Do I Login As A Different
User On The Same PC? | |

Net2Phone CommCenter is designed to allow different users
to use the software on a single PC. If the software is installed
on a PC, you can login with your username and password and use
the software - your active contact
list will already be there for you!
To login as a different user on the same
PC:
- Right click on the Net2Phone
CommCenter icon in your system tray (lower right corner
or your screen - next to your clock)
- Select Change User, the
login window will launch
- Enter your username and password
- Click Login
You
will now be logged-in as the new user. If you have built
active contact list already, it will be waiting for you.

| How Do I Hide My Name And/Or
Email Address In The Directory? | |

Every Net2Phone CommCenter user has a listing within the Directory
. This is a Web-based searchable directory to help our users
find their friends and family using Net2Phone CommCenter. If
you would like to set your listing so that your real name and/or
your email address is not visible, you can "hide" these.
To hide your name or email:
- From the main window, select the Options menu
- Then select Privacy
Options, the privacy window will launch on your
screen
- Select the Profile tab
- You will notice the two options on this window:
- "Show other users my real
name"
- "Show other users my email
address"
- To change/adjust your setting:
- Leave them checked - Your information will be visible
to users
- Leave them unchecked - Your information will not be
visible

| How Do I Switch To The Smaller
Or "Compact" Version? | |

Net2Phone CommCenter can also be used in the smaller "Compact"
version. The compact version uses less than half of the screen
space as the full mode and has all of the same functionality.
To switch to the compact mode:
- From the main window, select the View menu
- Then select Compact Mode F11
To access your contact list, use the "Dial"
menu (the down arrow on the green "Dial" button). This will
show you all of your online contacts as well as the last 10
numbers dialed. |
