Welcome! We hope you enjoy placing calls using our software. We've designed it to be easy to use and with our users in mind. Here are some quick pointers to get you started. Please follow through the topics and FAQ's (frequently asked questions) and enjoy.

Downloading The Latest Version
Net2Phone CommCenter works with most PCs running Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, and XP. It does not work with newer operating systems such as Vista or Windows 7, or with any Apple computer. A sound card, speakers and a PC microphone are also required. You will need to download the software from our site and install it on your computer. This is a simple step-by-step process and should only take a few minutes.

Registering A New Account
 
After installation you will be asked to register a user account including username and password. This is very important because you will use this information to login to the software and access your account online.

The registration window should automatically launch the first time you launch your software. Follow the instructions carefully and you should be ready to login in just a few minutes.

You can also launch the registration window by clicking the "Get User Name & Password" button at the top of the login window.

Logging In To The Software
 
Each time your software is launched, you will be asked to enter your username and password to login. Once logged in, you will have complete access to functions.

You can set your Net2Phone CommCenter to log you in automatically by selecting "Save My Username & Password" on the login window.

Preparing Your PC To Make Calls
 
Before you use Net2Phone CommCenter to place calls, you should run Net2Phone CommCenter "Audio Setup Wizard" to configure your microphone and speakers for optimal performance. To launch the wizard:

1. Open Net2Phone CommCenter main window
2. From the "Options" menu select "Audio Setup Wizard"

This will launch the setup application. Follow the instructions on your screen and you will be speaking though your PC as clear as can be! However, we recommend a good headset for the best call experience.

Making That First Call
 

If you have ever made a telephone call, you will be able to make a call with Net2Phone CommCenter software. Just follow these easy steps:

1. Login with your Username and Password to bring up the main Net2Phone CommCenter window (shown below).



2. Choose the country that you are calling. You can type the country code in the box or you can click the arrow and select your country from the menu.

3. Type the rest of the phone number in the box next to the country code.

Do not type spaces, dashes, plus signs, parentheses, or any special characters. Do not include “011” or the country code at the beginning of the number.

DO NOT TYPE:
49 2312341234 (do not repeat the country code)
011 2312341234 (do not type “011”)
(231) 2341234 (do not use parentheses)
231-234-1234 (do not use dashes)
+2312341234 (do not use a “+” sign)
231 234 1234 (do not use spaces)

4. Click the green "Dial" button. Net2Phone CommCenter will dial the number and, after a brief pause, you should hear the phone ring through your speakers or headset. To complete your call, click the red "END" button.

If you have followed these instructions and receive a message saying "You have dialed an invalid or unauthorized number," please click here for help.

711 Service: Net2Phone customers with speech or hearing disabilities may obtain assistance in placing a call by dialing 711 to connect with a telecommunications relay service (TRS) center. Specially trained Communications Assistants at TRS centers provide confidential assistance to allow persons with a wide range of speech or hearing disabilities to complete calls.

A Good Head Set

If your PC has a sound card installed, all you need to use Net2Phone CommCenter are PC speakers and a PC microphone. However, for best performance we recommend that you use a headset while placing calls.

Using Older Versions of Net2Phone PC-to-Phone Software
 

Older versions of Net2Phone PC-to-Phone software (including version 10 and version 10.6) are no longer available or supported. They have been replaced by Net2Phone CommCenter. Click here to download the latest version of Net2Phone CommCenter for low-cost PC-to-Phone calling.
