Calling Card Option
Use VoiceLine even when you
are away from your broadband connection
The VoiceLine Calling Card Option extends your VoiceLine
service to any phone. Even if you are away from your VoiceLine-connected
phone, you can still use your VoiceLine account -- as a calling
card. You simply dial your VoiceLine phone number or a local
access number (the same number you can use to retrieve VoiceMail
messages) and then place a local, long distance, or international
call.
These calls are not deducted from the monthly minutes in
your calling plan. You pay per-minute rates for all of your
Calling Card calls.

To enable the Calling
Card Option:
- Pick up the handset of your VoiceLine-connected
phone and dial *00.
- Press 1 after the prompt to enable the Calling
Card Option.

To disable the Calling
Card Option:
- Pick up the handset of your VoiceLine-connected
phone and dial *00.
- Press 2 after the prompt to disable the Calling
Card Option.

To make a Calling
Card call:
By dialing your VoiceLine phone number:
- Dial your VoiceLine phone number from any
phone.
- While your VoiceMail greeting is playing,
press *. (You must press * before you are prompted
to leave a message.)
- Enter your PIN when prompted.
- Press 3 at the Main Menu prompt.
- Enter the phone number you wish to dial when
prompted.
Please note that you must have the "No Answer"
option of Call Forwarding set to send your calls
to VoiceMail.
By dialing a Calling Card access number:
- Dial an access number (see list below) from
any phone.
- Enter your VoiceLine phone number and four-digit
PIN when prompted.
- Press 3 at the Main Menu prompt.
- Enter the phone number you wish to dial when
prompted.

Usage Notes:
- The Calling Card Option must be activated from your VoiceLine-connected
phone before you may use it. If you would like to enable
the feature, follow the directions above.
- The Calling Card access numbers are the same numbers
you use to remotely retrieve VoiceMail messages. You can
use whichever access number is most convenient:

Asked Questions:
How is my VoiceLine
account charged for Calling Card calls?
Calling Card calls are not deducted from your monthly minutes.
You will be charged per-minute rates for all calls made through
this feature, even if you are calling a destination that is
included in your monthly plan.
Calling Card calls will be charged along with your regular
VoiceLine charges at the end of your current monthly cycle
or when the amount of these calls exceeds $25, whichever comes
first.

What
are the rates for Calling Card calls?
Calling Card calls will be charged at the overage rates that
apply to your plan. Overage rates vary depending on the location
you are calling. (You can view these rates on the Calling
Plans & Rates page.)
An additional payphone operator recovery fee of $0.90 per
call will be applied to Calling Card calls made from payphones.
